University for Foreign People of Perugia

We are a group of teachers and enthusiasts of international languages and cultures who not only organise foreign language courses for Italians but also italian for foreign language students and teachers.

Our Linguistic Centre, School of Italian Language is accredited by the MIUR (Ministero Istruzione Università e Ricerca) and by the University for Foreign People of Perugia. We have specialised at the University Cà Foscari of Venice diploma in teaching italian to foreigners.

We organise courses for groups and for individuals, courses in italian for foreign language teachers, custom-made courses upon demand and we promote the knowledge of the Culture, the Nature and the Art of the Province of Belluno and the Veneto Region.

We also organise courses in creative arts, do-it-yourself and italian cuisine to learn, have fun and for cultural enrichment.

LE LINGUE NEL MONDO Centro Linguistico Internazionale School of Italian Language, accredited by MIUR employs highly specialised teachers for teaching Italian to foreigners taking into account the country of origin of the participants.

The teaching method is based on modern techniques where learning a language goes side by side with learning the culture as well.

The approach is strongly creative and stimulating. Among the materials and techniques used: books, audio cassettes, video cassettes, original language documents, field trips and meeting people in their native territories.

All our courses can be booked in any period of the year at least two months in advance and upon demand.

• Italian courses with guided tours in the nature and in the most beautiful places of the Dolomites
  The Dolomites are among the most beautiful mountains in the world. You may go hiking on trails, reach mountain huts at high altitudes, breathe good air and enjoy overwhelming scenery.
• Italian  courses  with  guided  tours  exploring the very tasty local cuisine
  The Pre-Alps are the crossways to small villages where one may taste the delicious cuisine of traditional home-cooking, drink local wines and the famous “grappa”.
• Individual  courses  in  italian,  conversation,  knowledge  of  the territory, italian  culture,  civil  rights,  history.
  The individual work will be strongly customised to meetyour personal needs. it may go from the language to the culture, from history to field trips.
• Italian courses for children, english courses for children.
  While the parents take other courses, children may take another opportunity. The courses are creatively organised where the children get emotionally involved in linguistic experiences. The method is based on the humanistic-affectionate linguistics.
• Courses in language, gastronomy and italian cooking.
  The courses will include actual cooking lessons and gastronomic cultural tips.
• Italian courses for restaurant operators
  With visits to characteristic and local country-style restaurants.

  These courses include: guided listening, music history, participation to music events, approaching an instrument.

  Italian language courses in business terminology, with visits to industries of the province (eyewear, tourism, ecc.)

• Italian courses and craftsman work.
  The craftsman work of the veneto region has very old roots. the venetian and bellunese people have always used their hands, heart and minds in giving shape, body and spirit to artistic creations. We offer the chance of creating something with your own hands.
  For instance: decoupage on wood, decorations on ceramics, creation of magnificent objects with glass beads of the island of murano and oil paintings.
• Italian courses with tours to some of the closest and most famous cities of art in Veneto.
  Our region offers a long list of cities of fine art. A visit to Venice is definitely a must, but also to Verona with its famous Arena, to Treviso, Padua, Vicenza and the medieval city of Feltre and last but not least … Belluno.
• Courses in teaching italian abroad for foreign language teachers.
  Comparing the techniques used by foreign language teachers in different countries will surely give those who take this course the chance to collect interesting know-how. High energy italian learn italian language through songs, drama, music, dance.

• Guided tours to the Vajont Dam and to the city of Longarone

• Visit to the Centro Minerario and the Val Imperina Mines

• Geology and morphology in the Ardo Valley: rocks and water
• Prehistoric Lamen Valley

• Visit to mountain churches: Sant’Andrea in Monte, along a roman road, panoramic view of the Val Belluna
• Visit to the Cansiglio forest and the village of the Cimbri
• Hiking, at high altitudes, among some of the most beautiful sites of the Parco Nazionale Dolomiti Bellunesi
• Visit to the city of Venice and islands of its lagoon
• High altitude mountain trails and visit to the Museo delle nuvole (the so called Museum of the Clouds) of  Reinhold Messner on Mount Rite
• Visit to the Museo dell'occhiale (Museum of Eyeglasses) at Pieve di Cadore

What is included in the offer:

the cost per week includes: 60’ lessons on morning , from Monday to Friday, 15 hours per week, 1 full day excursion, 2 half day excursion, 1 afternoon workshop per week of self-learning, evening activities, sport, insurance RC.

What isn't included in the offer:

The fly, personal insurance against, all extra, the transfer return to the airport Venezia Marco Polo or Treviso San Giuseppe: upon demand.

THE ACCOMODATION:

• Hotels:
  situated in quiet areas or centrally they offer full board and a packed lunch in cases where certain activities take up the whole day.
• B&B:
  a Bed and Breakfast option for those who wish to enjoy a relaxing stay surrounded by nature or small, charateristic villages.
• Family:
  to be welcomed in family is provides the best opportunity to learn the culture and the language.

Certain accomodations also offer a max of 2 transfes a day to and from LE LINGUE NEL MONDO School of Italian Language.

There are numerous pizzerias, restaurant, typical eateries in the vicinity. Possibility of a packed lunch at a cost of € 6 (for those not staying in a hotel with full board).

Contributions:
possibility of obtaining funds for stays longer than six days if staying at hotels and facilities of the Province during the low season.
The funds are granted by the Province of Belluno and the Region of Veneto within the “Low Season Tourism Incentive Project”.
